How to Block Adult Content in Device Without Any Software

How to Block Adult Content Without Using Software OpenDNS in
Windows/Mac/Linux. To begin, configure one or more of your devices to use
OpenDNS’s DNS nameservers. Choose your device type from one of the
categories below for instructions on how to do this.

NOTE: Use our FamilyShield nameservers instead of the device’s
nameservers when following the device’s instructions. Our FamilyShield
nameservers are as follows:
DNS: 208.67.222.123
          208.67.220.123
If its DNS servers are used, OpenDNS extends the Domain Name System by
adding features such as phishing protection and optional content
filtering in addition to DNS lookup.
Umbrella, a cloud computing security product suite hosted by the
company, is designed to protect enterprise customers from malware,
botnets, phishing, and targeted online attacks. The OpenDNS Global
Network processes an estimated 100 billion DNS queries per day from 85
million users worldwide via 25 data centers.
Cisco paid $635 million for OpenDNS in an all-cash transaction on
August 27, 2015, plus retention-based incentives for OpenDNS. The
business services of OpenDNS were renamed Cisco Umbrella, while the
home products remained OpenDNS. Cisco stated that it intends to
continue developing OpenDNS alongside its other cloud-based security
products, as well as to maintain its existing services.
Previously, OpenDNS offered an ad-supported service that “shows
relevant ads when we [show] search results” as well as a paid ad-free
service. The services are powered by the company’s proprietary
software.

DNS
OpenDNS provides DNS resolution as an alternative to using DNS servers
provided by Internet service providers or locally installed DNS
servers. The DNSCurve secure protocol has been adopted and supported
by OpenDNS.
OpenDNS makes available to the public the following recursive
nameserver addresses, which are anycast routed to the nearest
operational server location.
As part of their FamilyShield parental controls that block
pornography, proxy servers, and phishing sites, OpenDNS also provides
the following recursive nameserver addresses.
