YouTube Copyright Claims Filter Feature | Remove claimed content from videos

They’re currently rolling out 2 changes to the Video Copyright Details
page:

01. Page design: We’ve updated the layout of the page. If you’re looking
for the claimant’s name and claim policy details, hover over the “Impact
on the video” row.

02. Copyright tab: On a video’s Details page, we added a new Copyright
tab so you can easily access copyright info from any video’s Details
page.

Remember that the information and options for responding to claims
haven’t changed.

If your video has a Content ID claim, it may be restricted from being
viewed or monetized in certain places. You can edit out the claimed
content without having to upload a new video to remove the claim and the
associated restrictions.

If completed successfully, any of the following options will automatically
remove a Content ID claim:

Trim-out segment: You can edit your video to remove only the claimed
segment.

Replace song: If the audio in your video has been claimed, you may be able
to replace it with music from the YouTube Audio Library.

Mute song: If the audio in your video has been claimed, you may be able to
mute it. You can choose to mute only the song or all of the audio in the
video.

This option lets you mute the claimed audio in your

the video.

  1. Choose how you’d like to mute:

    • Mute all sound when the song plays

      • During the claimed audio portion of the video,
        all audio is muted.

      • This option is usually faster and more likely to
        remove the claim automatically.

    • The mute song only (beta)

      • Mutes are just the claimed song. Other audio, such as dialogue or sound effects,
        will not be muted.

      • This edit usually takes longer and may fail if
the song is difficult to remove.

  2. Edit the start and end times of the audio mute
    (optional).

    • Remember that if some claimed audio remains in your
video, the claim will not be removed.
